The 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion has been spied ahead of its official launch.

The V-Ixion is a naked version of the Yamaha R15

Yamaha has a naked version of the R15 in the Indonesian market which is named the V-Ixion and the 2017 has been spotted. The previous generation of the V-Ixion was powered by a 149.8cc engine which was used in the R15 V2. The updated V-Ixion will get the new 155.1cc engine which also does duty on the new R15 V3 .
The engine is a single-cylinder, SOHC mill with Variable Value Actuation (VVA) technology and the motor is capable of producing 19.31 PS of max power at 10,000 RPM and 14.7 Nm of torque at 8500 RPM, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The R15 V3 gets a slipper and assist clutch, but whether the V-Ixion will get that feature is still a doubt.
The Yamaha V-Ixion will be a premium offering in the 150cc segment. Yamaha currently does not plan to launch this bike in India. The company recently launched the FZ25 which is also a naked bike. The 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion will be launched in Indonesia by March.
